PICCOLA COSA

A LITTLE THING

Mila Costi / Italy / 2023 / 3 min / Colour

A wild orchid has grown in the middle of the woods, among its plant friends and the animals that wander around it. During an excursion in the woods, a family discovers it and decides to uproot it and take it home to embellish their terrace. Gentle and serene, the orchid's voice resembles that of a woman; it ponders what it has given and what it leaves to the world, in its unknown language. Piccola cosa is a short film shot entirely in Lessinia, which alternates day shots with nocturnal ones, which better capture the passage of the many animals. In just three minutes, it leads us to think about the meaning and direction we decide to give to our small daily actions, not always aware of how big the consequences could be.
