In a small village located on the Iranian plateau lives Khalil, a 13-year-old boy who has just lost his father and who now worries about the fate of his soul: he fears that he may not obtain God's forgiveness and end up in Hell. Determined to do everything possible, the young man begins to ask all the people around him to forgive him for all his sins with the hope that this can influence divine judgment, but their unanimous answers will not be enough to calm his anxieties. With the help of his school teacher and the support of his friends, Khalil decides to write a letter directly to God to beg for his mercy. The combination of his innocence and determination give rise to a story of tenderness, which tests the faith and love of a son.
