In a town in Ghana, near a large landfill bordered by the ocean live Sowah and Okai, sons of a fisherman. The two cannot find peace over the loss of their older brother, who drowned during a fishing trip. Haunted by his disappearance, Okai is convinced that his brother is still out there.
Amartei Armar
Ghanaian on his father's side and American on his mother's, he has lived in both countries. After graduating from the University of British Columbia with a degree in film production, he worked for a few years in the BC Film Industry. In 2017, he moved to Accra, Ghana, to collaborate with film producer Yemoh Ike. Tsutsuɛ (2022) premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.
