SILENT PANORAMA

In the midst of nature, at the base of a cliff, two campers intrigued by outside noises cross the deserted landscape, lamp in hand. Creaks, drips and other sounds animate these places, home to a silent fauna, almost invisible but very much present. The result of an original artistic choice, this short film was drawn and animated on a single sheet of paper.
Nicolas Piret
A Belgian artist and director, he attended the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels. During the Masters programme in Animated Cinema at ENSAV La Cambre, he made his first short film La bride - The Dog's Leash (2022). Silent Panorama (2024), which had its world premiere at the Rotterdam IFFR, is his second short film.
