An imaginative, colourful and playful collage of images about the life of the cow, placed side by side as if in poetry. Short stories from all over the world in which the cow experiences good and bad moments, fully recounting the life of this animal and its relationship with human beings, which for better or for worse seems to leave room for the hope of a better world.
Pavla Baštanová
A designer and illustrator, she lives in Olomouc, Czech Republic. She graduated from the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, presenting her short film Mukumů (2017), which was nominated for best student film. Among her animated films are Among Trees (2015) and I can't Swim (2016). About a Cow (2023) was selected by Locarno Film Festival and PÖFF Shorts - Black Nights Film Festival, in Tallinn.
