The determination and spirit of sacrifice of ants are the source of inspiration for a young Vietnamese family that finds the strength to escape on a small boat from Vietnam, besieged by the American army, to finally reach Canada. Years later, the little girl, now an adult, talks about her memories and the enormous effort of her parents that allowed her and her brother to survive that tragedy.
