For centuries, the Cervati massif in Campania has been a destination for transhumances and processions. Antonio is a free-spirited shepherd who speaks the language of his animals, the only ones with whom he seems to be able to really communicate. However, his rebellion against convention attracts disapproval: his dogs wander without collars and tensions with the community grow, but Antonio remains steadfast in the fight to discover his place, finding in nature a promise of freedom. From his story emerges the harsh reality of shepherds, whose traditions are threatened by modernity and bureaucracy. Through the images of transhumance and horses, the film reveals the strength and fragility of a life spent in contact with the land and animals.

  Vanina Lappa

  An Italian-French director and editor, after graduating from the Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan, she began her artistic journey in the field of painting and video art. She achieved her first success with the documentary Sopra il Fiume (2016), winning the Filmmaker Festival in Milan. She attended the Atelier Varan in Paris, where she developed her first feature film, Nowhere in the World (2023).
