From the recordings of her voice we discover that at just fourteen she joined the clandestine movement of opposition to the Nazi invasion and thanks to her skills as a skier, helped some soldiers reach the Slovakian border through the Tatra mountains, the highest peaks of the Carpathians, putting her own life at risk.
