A Festival of Water
It flows in deep beds, descends from waterfalls, and stirs in torrents. Its path is not always easy: the ground on which it runs is often treacherous and contorted. At times it crashes into rocks and must go backwards; then it makes a turnaround and continues it tireless journey. The water of rivers will be the protagonist of the XIX Film Festival della Lessinia, which opens on Friday, 23 August in Bosco Chiesanuova with the theatrical performance Aquadoro by Lucilla Giagnoni.
Navigating, searching for fords, swimming, and building bridges, through the filmed images we will see the reflections of lives lived out near rivers. Moving away from our cities, going up the roads of the Lessinia leading to the Festival, we can lean out from the banks of the rivers and see our own lives reflected in the water.
