Press conference presenting the 2013 FFDL
The first official act of the XIX edition of the Film Festival della Lessinia took place today, Thursday, August 1, 2013, in the prestigious Sala Rossa of the Palazzo della Provincia, in Verona.
In the presence of representatives of the institutions and sponsors, the artistic director Alessandro Anderloni illustrated the programme of the Festival that will open on Friday, August 23, 2013. Sixty-six films from twenty-eight countries from all continents, with twenty-three Italian premieres are the numbers of the 2013 edition, which promises to be the richest ever.
Leafing through the programme (which we will talk about in detail day by day) what is striking is the depth of the offerings dedicated to children: a true “festival within the festival”. As the artistic director explained today, the thematic tribute this year is to the river, to be understood as the symbolic descent from the mountains, to the plains, and – finally – to the sea. Anderloni emphasized, “the Festival itself is a great river to which every film, every guest, and every event brings stories, worlds, people, and emotions”.
And so begins our voyage, that will bring us to the ten days of the Film Festival della Lessinia in Bosco Chiesanuova, in the Lessinia Mountains above Verona, from August 24 through September 1, 2013.
