For Hanna, it’s not easy getting along with gruff, taciturn Uwe. Recently arrived from the city to work on his farm, the young woman labours silently in the stables, but struggles to find equilibrium. In this small village in the Black Forest, no one talks much or makes an effort to accept her. Her youthful exuberance, which leads her to dust off an old motorbike she finds in the stable, seems to have a positive effect on the farmer. Yet, for some time, Uwe has participated in the milk strike and is now living on the edge. His marriage is also a disaster. The young woman tries to help the family, but will soon discover that this is not the real reason why she came up to the mountains.
