As they do every year, the inhabitants of a town in the Ardennes, in Belgium, prepare for the traditional falò that celebrates the end of winter. But this year, winter does not seem to want to end. The townspeople, farmers and breeders for generations, observe, powerless. The snow doesn’t melt, the earth is dry, the trees fall, and the cows stop giving milk. Among them, Alice and Thomas, two kids who have only recently discovered youthful desire, observe the effects of this cataclysm on their fellow citizens. Unable to support each other, the men withdraw into themselves, becoming enemies of everyone.
