The elderly man tries to maintain a promise he made to his wife: to bring her back to her birthplace in the mountains and there to let her fl y in the wind. On the way, he meets a North Korean immigrant taxi driver with debt troubles. A dialogue seems impossible between the two; moreover, the taxi driver attempts to trick the silent old man. But once he discovers the reason for this voyage to the highlands, the two arrive at a profound, mutual understanding.
Ji-hun Park
Ji-hun Park was born in Seoul where he currently studies directing at Chung-Ang University. Poong Jang is his second short film.
