Carl Jenal is the oldest active Swiss farmer. He has spent his entire life with his animals and working in his fields. He can’t imagine a different life from this, and still today continues to work without thinking about rest or retirement. Thoughout the seasons, in the Swiss mountains, Carl Jenal, knows and lives according to the rhythms of Nature and of the animals. In his words are the wit and wisdom of the farmer’s world; in his gestures the calm and patience of a life’s work in contact with the earth; in his eyes the satisfaction of a life well spent.
Susanna Fanzun
Born in 1963 in the Lower Engadine, in Switzerland, she worked as a director for Televisiun Romantscha and is now an independent director, involved in documenting the traditions of her native region. She participated in the Film Festival della Lessinia in 2013 with Pur Forever and in 2015 with Kuhe, Käse und 3 Kinder, winner of the prize from the public and the award for best film about the Alps.
