A young Kurdish fighter, Jîn decides to abandon her crew of rebels. While crossing the mountains of the Turkish inlands with her companions, she decides to escape, in search of a family and a world that lives in peace. She is guided only by her courage and the moonlight. The girl succeeds in crossing the enemy lines and here begins her difficulty odyssey in a hostile environment. Between bombings and aggressions, capture and detention, and then refuge in the caves, Jîn looks for protection from the mountains, conserving the instinct for charity and compassion when helping a wounded enemy soldier. But only from nature and animals, and not from the men, will this young girl-soldier find comfort.
Reha Erdem
Born in Istanbul in 1960, he received his degree from the film department at the Université de Paris VIII and from the same institution earned a masters. His first full-length film, Oh Moon, is from 1989. With A Run for Money he represented Turkey at the 1999 Academy Award in the foreign language films category.
