LA SIRGA
LA SIRGA
Francia, Messico / 2012 / 89 min / Colour
Running from the war that has destroyed her country and deprived her of the love of those she held dearest, Alice searches for a new place to live. She finds it in La Sirga, a decadent hostel on the shore of a large lake in the Andes, in Colombia. Here lives Óscar, the only survivor in his family, an elderly, taciturn recluse. In this wooden house, immersed in the fog and great silence of the lagoon, through normal routines and the friendship of a young man, Alice tries to restore her inner peace and to forget about the war. But the return of Freddy, the son Óscar has awaited for years, causes Alice to relive her memories and fears.
