A numerous family belonging to the Amish religious community has moved to Poland. In this foreign country, father, mother, brothers, and sisters share a lifestyle that renounces technology, getting sustenance from their garden and their animals. This brief documentary takes us into their unique world and allows us to observe a typical day. Work, children’s games, and prayers are signs of an authentic life and a close relationship to Nature and God.
Piotr Zlotorowicz
Born in Debno, in 1982, he received a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Szczecin. He made amateur films until 2006, when he entered the Polish National Film School in Åodz to study film directing. With Charcoal Burners he has participated in some 120 festivals and won more than 30 prizes.
