Two years have passed since Matti Bauer left Uschi, in her farm near Tegernsee, after having told us her story in the earlier documentary, Die Sennerin. Since then, many things have happened. Eighteen months ago, Uschi became a mother and her little Jakob is already walking in the courtyard. His father, however, has left them and now a new friend, an airline pilot, spends time with the young woman who wants to become a true farmer, and make cheese to sell by word of mouth. Her neighbors already consider her the farmer of the Grub, the old farm that is a precious architectural treasure of the Bavarian Alps. Here Uschi still lives under the roof of her father and her severe, inflexible mother. Relationships between the old and new generations of farmers are not easy. In fact, her mother decides to move across the street from where Uschi prepares to spend her life with her new companion and young child.
