This short musical film is the result of years of time-lapse filming in the northeastern Alps. The most famous group of mountains of the Friulian Prealps and Trentino Alto Adige provide the background for a work in which the images and the music of Felix Mendelssohn, taken from his overture The Herbrides create a solemn symphony. The appearance, development, and disappearance of the clouds, that mutate from fluctuating and irregular to calm or tumultuous, trace grandiose, spectacular images in the sky.
Ivo Pecile
A naturalist and photographer for more than thirty years, his website, sentierinatura. it, won a special prize in 2002 in the CAI Alp Web Award competition. Since 2007, with Marco Virgilio he has organized and conducted the programme Sentierinatura on Telefriuli. He is the co-author with Sandra Tubaro of Le Guide di Sentieri Natura, a book about excursions in the Friulian Alps and Prealps.
