The drama of a seriously ill child is all in the eyes of his brother, Ehsan, who watches him suffer in his bed. In the mountains of northern Iran, it snows and the herds of sheep move with difficulty on the white expanse. Inside the house the adults talk and talk, and try to heal the boy with natural remedies, such as salt on the belly. In Eshan's eyes there is the expectation of seeing the angel of death arrive who, according to a legend of those lands, can take on different forms. When, mysteriously, a deer appears at the window in the middle of the night, Eshan decides to leave to save his brother. His race among adults, from his point of view, makes us experience his anxiety, the anxiety of losing the person dearest to him, and his impotence, in the presence of a mountain that is as beautiful as it is poignant, which both protects and oppresses.
