Two sisters live with their mother in a small cabin at the edge of the woods. While the older sister is lazy and indolent, the younger one works tirelessly to help around the house. One day her cap falls to the bottom of the well and the little girl discovers that the mysterious Mother Snow, or Frau Holle, lives there.
