February

In eastern Bulgaria, not far from the Turkish border, the life of Petar, a shepherd son of shepherds, passes. February follows his humble yet radiant existence, isolating three distinct moments. Childhood next to the silent grandfather, spent in the impatient care of the animals. Youth, where the world reveals itself with his departure for military service and in the discovery of poetry. Quiet old age, in the cold winter on the mountains. Three moments, three seasons that follow the journey of an extraordinary man in his simplicity and in the acceptance, without regrets, of his destiny. The earth, the sky, the animals, the birds, the light. February is a visual poem suspended in the enchantment of rarefaction, a warm and participatory study of human life and the impact that descent, environment and habits have on it.
