An alien arrives on earth seeking help rebuilding his home. On his journey, he stops at a construction site in Vietnam, where the largest temple in the world is being built. Undercover as a boy, the alien will meet an obsequious faithful, a disillusioned construction worker and a mysterious medium. While the unlikely group carries out a ceremony to evoke the spirits of the dead, the alien silently watches the different individuals show their own idea of home. Bình investigates with the eyes of a boy / alien and through a controlled formal experimentation, which ranges from black-and-white to colour, the mysterious world in which adults move around pretending to have certainties, while they are instead prey to the most anguished uncertainty.
