SÓTANO
Marco Preti / Italy / 2000 / 30 min / Colour
The Sótano de las Golondrinas is an enormous underground cavern in the heart of Mexico, a gigantic abyss 376 meters deep in free fall and the ancient site of mystic practices and mysterious rituals including human sacrifices in honour of potent, evil spirits that inhabit this gloomy place. During one of his explorations, the extravagant professor Giuseppe De Coriolis, an insatiable adventurer, descends in this majestic and gloomy place and becomes a victim of the occult forces that inhabit it. There is no way for him to leave the cave: perhaps only showing the way to the Sótano to other explorers, thereby nourishing the avidity of the powerful demons of the cave, will permit the professor to conquer his much-desired freedom.
