A PERFECT DAY
Fernando León de Aranoa / Spain / 2015 / 106 min / Colour
In former Yugoslavia, in a country devastated by civil war, Mambrú and B, two rescue workers from a humanitarian organisation are busy helping the remaining civilians. They soon discover that the problem of unhealthy water is due to a corpse thrown into the bottom of the well. But in the absurd, parallel world created by the war, obtaining permission from the United Nations to remove it, or even finding a simple rope, becomes an impossible task. This tragic comedy, in which the anti-hero protagonists battle an irrational, dramatic situation, sheds light on what becomes of reality in a country seized by war, when every banal problem becomes an insurmountable obstacle.
