ALIEN 2 - SULLA TERRA
Ciro Ippolito / Italy / 1980 / 92 min / Colour
After seeing Ridley Scott's film Alien in 1980, the director Ciro Ippolito and the producer Angiolo Stella decided to make an apocryphal sequel, in the wake of others made in those years. With a tiny budget and home-made special effects, the two filmed almost all of the scenes in the caves of Castellana, in Puglia. Alien 2 - On Earth narrates the story of a sensitive speleologist who, guided by her unusual powers of perception, discovers within a cave the presence of alien eggs that arrived following a space mission. From these eggs are born slimy, disturbing creatures that will provoke the destruction of humanity.
