ATTRAVERSO LE ALPI
Through the Alps
Filippo Ciardi, Giancarlo Bertalero / Italy / 2016 / 80 min / Colour
Every day cars, trucks, and trains cross the Alps. Tunnels and Alpine passes are the routes that allow one to bypass the mountains, and connect southern and northern Europe. Who regulates this incessant movement of goods and people? The film takes us on a voyage through the Alps, along with the protagonists of these journeys: railway workers, truckers, car drivers, and tourists. It investigates the management of Alpine traffic and its environmental impact in one of the most populous and frequented mountain regions in the world.
