Even avoidance of daily life and the desire to travel and seek adventure become a feverish desire to consume. Everything passes through the internet, everything has a price, and is quick, easy, and often superficial. The trip becomes chaotic, routine, and predictable, and every place seems familiar, as though already seen. The exotic places, postcard landscapes, and art-filled cities pile up, one on top of the other, becoming almost unrecognisable. In that moment arises the need to again find slowness, to find the road to the mountains, and to search elsewhere.

Mélody Boulissière
After earning a diploma from the Ecole des Arts Decoratifs (ENSAD) in Paris, Mélody Boulissière continues her studies in the French capital at the school of film and animation La Poudrière. Ailleurs is her first film.
